Das Ziel besteht darin, sicherzustellen, dass Unternehmen lediglich verlässliche und überprüfbare Angaben zu den Umweltaspekten ihrer Produkte und Dienstleistungen machen. Irreführende Aussagen, auch als «Greenwashing» bekannt, sollen unterbunden werden. Diese Entwicklungen sind die Inspiration, an der 18. Wädenswiler Lebensmittelrecht-Tagung nicht nur Green Claims zu thematisieren, sondern auch die Regulierung und aktuelle Themen bezüglich verschiedener anderer freiwilliger Aussagen zu beleuchten.
